The documented development changes are not yet published as a gem or fully available in the public repository. Setup requires a development checkout containing this work. On 2026-09-07, RubyGems returned no published latchkey package and GitHub listed no published releases. A local version number or reserved name is not a release.
Implemented and locally tested
The development source now implements the v1 sign-in methods, session controls, reauthentication, recovery, security notifications, bot-check adapters, and customizable generated pages. The features and roadmap page explains what each does.
The recorded local verification covers the supported Ruby/Rails combinations, PostgreSQL store and request behavior, browser flows with a virtual passkey authenticator, and copied app views and controllers. These results do not establish remote CI, real-device coverage, live provider behavior, or release readiness.
The quickstart is for a disposable evaluation host with the development checkout. It is not an instruction to install a released package or a statement that a fresh public clone contains all documented changes.
What remains before release
Complete real-device, accessibility, live-provider and deployment checks; try all enabled journeys in an adopter’s app; stabilize the integration API and operational defaults; then pass remote CI and security checks and publish through the release workflow. There is no committed release date.
Future feature ideas are separate from those release checks. They remain subject to reassessment after v1 usage.
Follow a release
The gem roadmap is the maintained progress checklist; its public copy may lag the local development work. Check GitHub releases and RubyGems when a release is announced.
These docs will update their channel and installation instructions after the public source and package are verified. Documentation hosting is independent of gem publication: the site being live does not mean the gem has shipped.
